Flayva
Flayva is a Producer, Singer, Songwriter born to Jamaican parents on 26 of June 1982 in Birmingham, United Kingdom.
---- Early Life and Aspirarions.
Deriving from a family of Seven, Flayva decided to follow in the steps of her late father, Lester Walker,(who was a respected R&B/Reggae Guitarist). Flayva started out as a child performer, and formed a local dance and singing act named 'Starlight', with her sister and a few friends. She then began to tour locally. As Starlight they were hand picked to appear in the 'Max Mega' Production at the repatory theater Birmingham, England. This group proved quite successful, and then later fizzled out, as members decided to go their separate ways. Flayva always had a love for music and taught herself to play Piano, Trumpet, Recorder. She also started learning the Steel-Pan at school, and later went on to win the title of the 'Soloist of Great Britain' for two consecutive years, then a music scholarship in Trinidad and Tobago followed. She was then introduced to the studio by the uncle of 'Cleopatra', Eric Stewart. From there she was to develop along side her sister, at various studio's including 'Wooligan', (of Apache Indian Fame).

Flayva music/media career has been varied. She was spotted for the job by 'Jammi' (Wassifa), and landed in the office(s) of 'Franklin Highes', who gave her the job instantly with no formal training. After the (Flayva's in da house show-thus the name Flayva), she moved on to l!ve TV and filled a trainee spot. Flayva was also twice an International Carnival queen and was also a Miss Luster and Miss Jamaica finalist. As a model she has also appeared in many publications, such Black Hair and beauty, and donned the front cover of Black Hair and sophisticates, amongst many.
Returning back to her musical roots, she started to write and perform for the band 'Star Company' this was formed by Jimmy Brown of UB40. Tour dates followed. In 2004, Flayva appeared on the X-Factor (with judges, louis walsh, Sharon Osbourne and Simon Cowell, creator of American idol etc..), as the Sister act duo, the 'First Laydeez'. They got down to the last stage, but did not get any further. They released the Single 'Sanity' the same year and began to get recognition as the new Urban talents on the scene. With Promotion such a RWD mag, and Channel U. In 2006 Flayva was a recipient of a Skillset (open door award) and trained with the BBC, VET, hosted at the British Film council.
Flayva is now on her First Debut album (Written & Produced) by Flayva, and is the founder and CEO of Go Getta Entertainment Ltd. UK Block quote
