Flash Rodriguez is a veteran of the music and entertainment industry, and is the founder and CEO of the New York based entertainment corporation, The FEAM Group. Rodriguez has been professionally involved in the music industry, as an executive since 2002. Flash Rodriguez appeared in his first magazine interview, as a youthful recording artist, at the age of 14. By the age of 17, he had received his first radio airplay with a regional radio single entitled, “So precise with a slice” on Jaime Records. After the label was forced into submission, Flash briefly investigated the option of college. After a short hiatus from music, he built a studio in his apartment and began working with local artists and music producers. This situation allowed him to secure a major label recording contract and he recorded his first LP, however, the project was unreleased. This matured into a position with Universal Distribution. Executive career In late 2002, Flash Rodriguez sat in the lobby of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ Bad Boy Records for two weeks, before being offered a position as an intern in the radio & online promotions by department Director, Shawn Prez. Though internship was a natural course of things at Bad Boy Records, after just a few weeks on the job Flash submitted a marketing proposal to Diddy, regarding an artist that was in the process of being dropped from the label. This was exceedingly far outside of Flash’s realm of responsibilities and job description, it was accepted personally by the big boss, Diddy. At this point that Flash became a paid employee and began contributing in multiple facets and projects at the label, while working under the tutelage of Vice-President of Radio Promotions, Mel Smith (Cash Money Records) and even serving as a member of the camera crew for the MTV Special Diddy Runs The City, a documentary chronicling Mr. Combs running of the New York Marathon. Flash was also a part of MTV's "Making The Band: Season 2" with P-Diddy. Flash also began listening to demos submitted at the labels then Times Square office. In 2004, while still an employee of Bad Boy Records, Flash began his own New York based multi-faceted entertainment company, The FEAM Group, and signed his first artist, Nina Vega. Flash left Bad Boy to partake in his new venture, The FEAM Group and to serve as Director of Artist and Repertoire for InYerFace Records, a label of Sony Music Studios. At InYerFace Records, Flash Rodriguez took part in the development of current, Island Def Jam recording artist and Rock prodigy, Laura Warshauer. Flash Rodriguez became a common figure in the halls of Sony Music Studios, as both an Artist and Repertoire representative and as an authority in artist development. In little to no time Flash Rodriguez was consulting on numerous industry projects and with major labels, producers, and artists. FEAM group In 2006, Flash Records secured radio airplay for The FEAM Group’s first artist, Nina Vega, with her single “I wanna know ya like that”, on the nationally syndicated Wendy Williams Show. The record was produced by KNS (Britney Spears), who have produced for Britney Spears, 3LW, 50 Cent and many more. This radio play and consistent rotation on air was the indoctrination of Flash Rodriguez and The FEAM Group and subsidiaries, Flash Records and FAM Management. Flash specializes in the musical genres of Pop, Rock and Urban-crossover, or Urban Pop, music. In addition to his own ventures with The FEAM Group entities Flash Records, FAM Management and FDI Pictures, Flash Rodriguez is also an A&R consultant to the Sr. Vice-Presidents of A&R at, both, Hollywood Records and Jive Records. Flash Rodriguez is currently working with independent recording artist, ME, on her debut release “Billionaire”, as General Manager and Director of A&R. In early 2010, Flash Rodriguez and his company, The FEAM Group, entered into a joint venture with Icon Records and Universal Music Group. This joint venture was structured in a way that his company will receive substantial marketing and promotions, along with worldwide distribution from the entertainment powerhouse. The joint venture solidified The FEAM Group in the music world and extracted Flash Rodriguez’ record label from the world of Indie record labels. The FEAM Group is scheduled to release its first act, under their new joint venture, sometime during the third or fourth quarter of 2010 and has paired it's developing acts with such experts as celebrity vocal coach, Ankh Rah (Making The Band).
