Flannery French is an author of . The children's book, Green with Purple Pokadots, published by Scholastic in June, 2009, talks about a discolored crab that is left out from the other crabs and is picked on. Her earliest book titled, The green grass, is also a children's novel. This book is about a little girl and her life at a school called, Grass roots; it was named for French's elementary school. The book was also published by Scholastic in September, 2005. Perhaps many young children's favorite by her is, Morning and Night, published by Dover Thrift in the fall of 2007. This book is about differnt birds and the sounds they all make. This is the only story where someone else illustrated the pictures. Artist Stephanie Saners illustrated the book.
