First-person action game

First-person action game (FPA) is a video game genre that differs itself from first-person shooters by not focussing on gun battle. While such a game might still contain gun battle, a first-person action game either primarily uses melee weapons such as a sword, or the focus of the gameplay lies on exploring or solving puzzles, rather then shooting.
Examples
*The Metroid Prime series are played like a first-person shooter, but this action is only a part of the gameplay. The game's main focus lies in exploring the world to uncover the story.
*While Portal is played from the first-person view, and the player holds a gun, the gameplay focusses on puzzling and platforming.
*Red Steel and Red Steel 2, while containing some gun battle, are primarily sword-fighting games, played from the first-person persective.
