First Bench started as IITBuds in the year 2011. It is a company that helps train the students for competitive exams alongside the school curriculum. The most common exams are IIT JEE (Mains and Advanced), NEET, AIIMS, ISI, Olympiads, et cetera. Their motto is to increase the ‘self- belief of the students. They have over 200 employees as of 2018. First Bench was started by Salai Arjun in Chennai, India. He is an engineer by qualification and he graduated from SRM University in 2008 and joined the Google Developers Group, Hyderabad. After which he quit his job to pursue teaching. He started by opening a coaching class in his terrace. It gradually grew to the present First Bench. Services The company tutors students in Science (Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology) and Math for competitive examinations in India. They have been quoted to say they're working on AI products for the future. "First Bench envisions putting together an AI that understands a student’s requirement." Corporate Office Location Their current corporate office is in Nandanam, Chennai.
