V K Mathews is an Indian businessman, founder and executive chairman of the IBS Group. Mathews founded IBS in 1997 and is currently serving as Executive Chairman. Early life and career Mathews holds a Master’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering from IIT Kanpur and had executive management education from Harvard Business School, Boston, USA. Mathews started his professional career by teaching computer science to military officers in 1979. Mathew’s second job was with Air India in 1981 when he joined their IT division and played a key role in the implementation of their computerised passenger services systems world-wide. Subsequently, Mathew joined The Emirates Group in 1983 and contributed to the growth of the airline in various capacities, over a span of 15 years. Awards and honours * Management Leadership Award |
