Fig Tree Books is an American publishing company of literary fiction that chronicles the American Jewish experience. The company was founded by Fredric Price, a successful pharmaceuticals executive with a deep interest in Jewish literature. Price has announced Fig Tree's intention to publish around twelve novels per year, in print as well as in digital editions. Included are original works and re-releases of classic titles either currently out of print or previously unavailable in a digital format. The Fig Tree Books website incorporates the online companion to the American Jewish Fiction: A JPS Guide by Josh Lambert, which presents Lambert's reviews of 125 titles.
