Football Club 8-0, also known as the Eight Nill Club, is a football club based in Islamabad, Pakistan. The team was founded in December 2005 by a group of Foundation University student department of telecom engineering. The club’s stadium is in the Defense Housing Authority, the largest stadium in Islamabad with a capacity of 10000 seats. Islamabad enjoys a high rate of popularity, about 3.7% of Punjab's population support the club; while according to a recent survey FC 8-0 is the most popular football club in FUIEMS (Foundation University Institute of Engineering and Management Science) with around 200 fans. As of January 23, 2008, FC 8-0 was ranked first by Foundation University Sports Federation. According to the FUSF, FC 8-0 has been the most consistently successful club in the Foundation University since the organisation began collection statistic, in the period 2006-2009. History On September 3rd, 2005, Abdullah Amjad (capt of FC 8-0) placed an advert in Islamabad declaring his wish to form a football club. A positive response resulted in a meeting at the FUIEMS on November 2005. Five players attended, Usman Ahsan, Humzah bin Shahid, Muhammad Umar , Shahwaz Hassan and Haris Amjad. As a result a football Club was born, but the name could not be decided that day. In the first official match of the club, on december 25th 2005, after losing by 8-0 by a local Islamabad team, the club officials decided to give the name "FC 8-0". In 2006, Muhammad Umar became club president for the first time.
