Fardad Fateri is an Iranian-American businessman, author and public speaker. He is president and CEO of International Education Corporation. Fateri has been in the field of education since 1988, assuming several roles and has worked in non-profit, for-profit, privately funded, publicly funded and market funded higher education organizations. Both International Education Corporation and another for-profit educational institution Fateri held a leadership role in, Corinthian Colleges, became embroiled in allegations of fraud and bilking federal student aid programs. In response to the allegations against International Education Corp., Fateri stated that 100% of the organization's grant of funds would be provided to the students. Early life and education Fateri was born in Tehran, Iran. He is a graduate of Institut Le Rosey in La Rolle Switzerland. After completing his studies at Le Rosey, he came to the United States to attend University of California, Irvine. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in social science and a Master of Arts degree in social science from California State University, Fullerton. He earned a doctorate in industrial and organizational behavior from United States International University, San Diego Later, Fardad completed his Post-Doctoral Fellowship at Harvard University in management and leadership. Career Fateri was appointed to president of DeVry University in 2002. During his time as president, he continued publishing articles in educational journals including Journal of Ethnic Studies & Ethnic Bibliography, California Career Education Association Journal, and Fifth National Conference, Students in Transition. Fateri served as a chief academic officer for Corinthian Colleges between mid-2004 to late 2007. In January 2008, he left Corinthian Colleges. Fateri started serving as the president, chief executive officer, and board director of International Education Corporation(IEC) in early 2008. IEC is a private multi-site and multi-state postsecondary career education system offering short-term programs in high demand jobs. In 2011, he joined Cogswell Polytechnical Colleges member of the Board of Trustees. In 2012, Fateri published, “The Fall of American Education”. In September 2018, Fardad Fateri published his book, “A Culture of Excellence: The Art, Discipline, and Practice of Breakthrough Leadership” published by Harvard Schuster.
