Lesley College of Liberal Arts and Sciences

The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Lesley University is an undergraduate college and the founding college of the university. It offers an array of programs in the fields of Education, Psychology and Applied Therapies, Humanities, Social Sciences, Mathematics and Natural Sciences, and Business and Communications.
History of the College
The college traces its roots to the founding of The Lesley School by Edith Lesley in 1909. The college became known as Lesley College in 1944 and since its founding has been nationally and international recognized for its innovative and progressive teacher education programs. Originally a since its founding, the college became co-educational in 2005. Over the years, the college has grown from a Teachers' college to a Liberal Arts and Sciences College. The college saw great expansion in all programs from the early 2000s and into the 2010s under the leadership of university presidents Margaret A. McKenna and Joseph B. Moore.
