Famster provides its users with sophisticated privacy options; through a system of multilayered passwords and invitation-only access Famster administrators have absolute control over every aspect of the site.
History Famster went live on August 7th 2006. It is a subsidiary of iVenue, a privately held company based in Nevada, USA.
Business Model On May 11 2007 Famster announced that, in response to user feedback, the company would move to a subscription-based model and remove all advertisements from the site. The company also announced that in recognition of the loyalty of its current members, all current Famster accounts would remain free and stay free as long as these members wish to maintain them.
