FACT Software, is an Accounting Software company with their global headquarters in Singapore, development centre based in India, as well as companies in Malaysia, Philippines, Dubai and Nepal. It was formerly known as Vedika Software Pvt Ltd..
History
FACT Software was incorporated in 1987 in Kolkata, West Bengal, India.
In 2005, after a sales presence of 10 years, the company opened offices in the Philippines as a joint venture with a local partner
As of December 2005, the company had 15,000 customers in six countries within Asia. This customer base grew to over 100,000 in 2009.
FACT Products
Their first product, FACT is an off-the-shelf accounting software.
The company also has two payroll products, FACT Payroll Smartstart, for small and medium enterprises and PERKS, for large enterprises
In 1994, the company launched a modified version of FACT in Singapore to address the local value added tax system. A similar product was launched in India in 2005 when VAT was introduced in India.
In March 2008, they launched an FACT ERP.x, an ERP product for small and medium businesses. This product includes a user interface called FACT Cockpit providing standard ERP features of single screen views and controls.
Educational Partnerships
FACT Software also does educational partnerships with several prestigious institutions in Singapore, India and Nepal in many ways. In 2005, FACT Software took in 19 interns from the Singapore Management University (SMU) to conduct marketing campaigns held in the region.
