Eze-Abasilim Family of Amichi

Eze-Abasilim family the earliest record of its history was 5 century till date or 500 years ago.
Eze-Abasilim is an imperial family in (Umu-Nna, Uhu-enu) in Ojiezeka village Amichi town in Nnewi south Local Government Area Anambra State Nigerian.
Eze-Abasilim was first son of a great respectful and olden day act maker chief, Ichie Ezeani-ome-nka, normally call in shot names (Eze-ome-nka) and Eze-ome-nka have a brother Name Eze-nnobo.
Ezeani Eze-omenka and his family, is son of Uhu-Enu, Uhu-Enu is a son of ojiezeka, while ojiezeka is son of Udenne, while Udenne is a son of Eneke normally known as Amichi. Eneke’s wife name is Ami. Eneke is today known as Amichi town in Nnewi south Local government Area Anambra state of Nigeria.
These are the sons of Uhu-enu, the daughters are not included hence there is no record how many they are and where they married to.
Uhu-Enu Begot 5 sons
1,EZE-MENKA,UME-EKWUDO, EBERE, EZE-NNOBO,ONUKAOGU-ANIBE,(Simon nwaosu is a grand son of ONUKAOGU)
And Eze-Menka Begot 1 son, Eze-abasilim, Eze-abasilim, begot 5 sons
Eze-suokwu, Ibe-aghowusi, Okeke-Aja, Okeke-Nta, Onye-na-ibe-ya-wi
And Ume-Ekwudo Begot 4 sons, Obi-ume-ekwudo,Nwa-okonkwo udum, Chiukwu-dolue, Emanuel Ume-ekwudo Senior.
And Ebere Begot 2 sons, Felix Ebere, John Ebere.
Eze-NNOBO Begot 1 son;Okafor nwa-orie Eze-NNOBO and Okafor nwa-orie Eze-NNOBO begot 1 son, Felix from his early marriage, later Felix after his graduation around 1940 died and nwa-okafor Eze-nnobo remarried from Obiagu village and he has 2 sons and 4 daughters. Felix is first university graduate in Ojiezeka, detail of his dead is recorded.

Eze-omenka held A Title of Ezeani in Amich, Any Ezeani title holder is among the kings Makers of the town, and he is leader in his own village and clam. He inherited it from his grand fathers and keeps it up to his childrens, the last man clam Ezeani in Ezemeka family was Eze-suokwu that is reason he use to address with his title name Ezeani Eze-Suokwu. Among all men in Ojiezeka village he is number 1. He leads others follow, his vice in Ojiezeka then was a man call nwa-arunsi, Nwa-arunsi is Another Ezeani title holder he take charge of the village government whenever his superior Ezeani is out for community purpose, Eze-menka inherited the title, when he die his son, Eze-Abasilim was clam the next Ezeani, and when Eze-Abasilim die, his first son, Eze-suokwu take over, and when Eze-suokwu die, his first son Daniel Onyekesi-Ekpe refuses to take over, so the title of Ezeani still remain in the hand of any first son that is living in Ezeani Eze-menka palace. As it stand today,it is turn of Mr. Joseph Okaforekesi to take over if he wishes. And if takes the title of his ancestors Ezeani he automatically becomes the leader of the village both homes and middle man between the village and king of Amichi, is the procedures is respected.

Eze-omenka have sons and daughters, which the daughter married out and his only son's succeeded him,
Then Eze-Abasilim have a slave, which he present to his deity (Ngiri-Nze Ojiezeka), the name of the slave is IDIKA, IDIKA begot Chukwuka who's change his name to Clement when Eze-su-okwu the Eze-Abasilim son, have mercy on him and allow him to get married from Isieke village in Amichi, Later Mr.Idika or Clement add another name to his name as (chukwuka) today they still know as chukwuka’s as osu or out-cast, today the IDIKA family is known in Ojiezeka village as Mr. Chukwuka”s Family, they have sons and Daughters.
Eze-su-okwu was so gentle, But he did not make rich like his fathers because they left many property on his hand, although all her wife’s had miscarriage that they did not give birth until he married the last wife from” Ume-Ekunite” Family from Uhu-eze-Dibia or as known today as Uhu-Ana in the-same ojiezeka village Amichi. Who gave birth to two sons and four daughters, below are the names of his sons.

Ibe-aghowusi or in Abbreviation as normally call today IBE family in ojiezeka village, Ibe was a farmer and favored to with many children more than his senior brother Eze-suokwu, so his children assist his farming business that he was rich and envy his brothers inheritance. Mr. Awugosi died in present of his father Ibe so his children left where they supposed to inherit from their grand father ibe-aghowusi to Mr. Charles Ibe and bought where they now use as awugosi family house from onyemaizu, from enugu clan ojiezeka village. as awugosi died Mr. Charles automatically becomes the first son of Ibe and he inherit Mr. Ibe-aghowusi as first son.

So her Daughter Nwa-afo did not marry, she accept to born in her father house and inherit his father in a situation Igbo culture Titled Anete. But Nwa-afor children or grand children of Nta refuses to take their grand fathers name Eze-Abasilim as their surname for reason known to them.

1, Nne Samson, married with children and begot 2 son, and 1 Daughter to Mr. Nwa-ora Family in enugu clan in Ojiezeka,
2, Nwa-afor, normally know as (mama base) Nwa-afo did not marry, she accept to born in her father house and inherit his father in a situation Igbo culture Titled Anete.

Eze-Abasilim children have contributed a lot to development of Ojiezeka community, Mr. Daniel okaforekesi donated his 2 plot of land for building of Ojiezeka community Village hall, the hall still at the premises up till today.
Apart from that they have donated many plots of land to those that didn't have at all, he still remembered by the community and his relations for his generosity.
