An Exploratory Friday is a time where kids get out of school early and go volunteer or job shadow someone for a day. This is done so they go into the society and see what they want to do when they grow up. An increasing amount of schools like Highland Tech High School in the Anchorage School District are now trying this new method out. Unfortunately some things that are bad about it is there are safety issues since the kids are leaving school grounds. Another is that kids might just decide they don't want to go to school and skip. These are the 2 main reasons that the idea will get shut down.
