Exomissiology

Exomissiology is the study of missions to other worlds. "Exomissiology provides a theology and a praxis for allowing the church to be a ministry to both space colonists and to new life forms that may be encountered."
Points of Discussion
It has been argued "that exomissiology must inform and shape exotheology. Exomissioology assumes a "pluriuniverse", rejects the privatization and reductionism of faith, adopts a systems worldview, commits to an expansive and relational community".
It has been commented that "one might legitimately ask what kind of missiology would not be either invasive or imperialistic when presented to tribes of extraterrestrials who would ... have their own cultural set of theologies and religious traditions."
Literature
There is a "Master's thesis by ... Tom Hoffman who talks about exomissiology and how ministers can contribute to SETI in dealing with extraterrestrial intelligence."
This "provides new models for exomissionology. His approach insists that exotheology is important".
