Ethereal Darkness is a Belgian melodic death metal band from Brussels that combines in their style elements of doom metal and black metal. The band also has a strong atmospheric component in their music. History Ethereal Darkness was created in 2018 by Lars. Little it's known about his founder, just that he seems to be from Belgium and that he has always wanted to be in a metal band . After trying to put together a band and failing to do so multiple times, he decided to release a solo album , Smoke and Shadows on 19 February 2019. After the release received much praise by reviewers and listeners alike, a full band was put together. In 2019, they started playing live shows with bands like Borknagar, Saor and Hamferd .
