Erskine Oglesby Jr.

Erskine Oglesby Jr. (Born on April 24, year unknown) Ogelsby was elected to Chattanooga city council in April 2017 and represents Alton Park 1 & 2, Downtown 1 & 2, East Lake, and St. Elmo 1, all a part of district 7. Before entering into politics, Oglesby worked with several different non-profits and local organizations such as United Way, YMCA, and Salvation Army. The family are members of the Resurrection Baptist Church.
Early career
Oglesby has held several positions before serving as councilman. He served as the director of the Howard C. Gentry Athletic Complex at Tennessee State University for 10 years.
Campaign
The core goals of Erskine Oglesby's campaign pertained to economic development, revitalizing neighborhoods and dealing with economic inequity in those neighborhoods, creating stronger family programming, and addressing community policemen.
