Er. Shoaib Mohammed

Er. Shoaib Mohammed is the Founder-President of Dawah Islamic Research Organization (d-IRO), Kolkata. d-IRO is a social welfare organization which conducts and participates in regular Dawah programs, with the intention to promote Peace to Humanity, and Universal Brotherhood.
Biography
An Engineer by professional training, Er. Shoaib Mohammed is an outstanding speaker on Islam and Comparative Religion. Er. Shoaib presents Islam in the correct perspective and clarifies misconceptions about Islam, with the aid of the Quran, Hadiyth and the Scriptures of the World Religions, along with science, history, logic, reason, an analysis of the proper context, facts, and statistics.
As a Student of Islam & Comparative Religion, he remains active in the field of Dawah (Islamic Propagation), and is a dynamic Daee (Islamic Propagator).

He leads the Friday Prayer.
Public Talks
In the last 4 years, Er. Shoaib Mohammed has delivered over 100 Lectures, in addition to over 100 Friday Sermons. He has also participated in Dialogues, Symposia, Press Conferences, and what he calls as Dawah Walk Shows. He has conducted Dawah Training Course in Kolkata. His Talks are usually followed by Open Question and Answer Sessions. Most of his talks are in English, he also delivers talks in Bengali, Urdu, and Hindi. He is presently only 27 years of age.
Some of the open-air public talks that he has delivered, have been attended by an audience count exceeding 10,000 in number.

Peace Conferences and Inter-Faith Dialogues
His public Inter-faith Dialogue with prominent Vedic-Scholar, Dr. Harish Chandra
, on the topic ‘Understanding, VEDIC-DHARM & ISLAM, In the Light of the Sacred Scriptures’ held at Kala Mandir, Kolkata, on 29-Mar-2009, was a resounding success, and was highly appreciated by people of all faiths.
This year on 4-Apr-2010, he was involved in another public Inter-Faith Dialogue, this time with a prominent Christian scholar, the Retd. Bishop of Calcutta, The Rt. Revd. P.S.P. Raju
, on the topic ‘Understanding the Teachings of JESUS (a) & MUHAMMAD (s), In the Light of the Sacred Scriptures’, held at Kala Mandir once again. This program too was overwhelming success, and was appreciated by people of all faiths.
Symposia
He has also participated in two Symposia.
His first Symposium was on the topic Communal Harmony held at an open-air stage program at Ananda Palit, CIT Road, Kolkata, on 16-Oct-2009. Besides him, the speakers included prominent personalities of different faiths such as Bishop Raju (Christianity), T.S.Walia (Sikhism), and Muni Manikukmar Maharaj (Jainism).
His second Symposium was on the topic Role of Religion in Bringing Peace in a Divided World held at Sceptre, Shrachi Centre, AJC Bose Road, Kolkata, on 7-Dec-2010. Besides him, the speakers included prominent personalities of different faiths such as The Rt. Revd. Bishop Dr. H.G. Geevarghese Mar Yulios Metropolitan (Christianity), Fr. Dr. K.P. Aleaz (Christianity), Dr. S.K.Agarwal (Hinduism), Mr. Asish Mukherjee (Bahai), and Mr. Kurshid Alam (Islam).

Er. Shoaib Mohammed has appeared on Local Cable TV in Kolkata, and has been covered in several of the Newspapers published in Kolkata in several languages - Urdu (Akhbar-e-Mashriq, Sahara, and Azad Hind), English (The Statesman), and Bengali (Gati,Kalom,Mizan,Dainik Statesman).

He has also authored a book - 1. The Origin of Islam in India, besides authoring a few other pamphlets.
