Engineering Design and Development also called EDD is a course offered through Project Lead the Way. History In the early 1990s Dale Coalson and Mark Schroll, both teachers at the Science Academy of South Texas came up with the idea for a capstone course for the school's curriculum. It was named by them R&D or Research and Development.
