Energy 106

Energy 106 was a pirate radio station that operated from Alien Mountain, Co. Monaghan, Ireland from 1998 until Feb 2005. The creators where Miles Johnston (Chief Engineer) and Lawrence John (Broadcaster). The station broadcast on 106.6 MHz into Northern Ireland using 16 five element yagis vertically polarised towards Belfast. An ex transmitter was used rated at 5kW. This provided an ERP of around 800,000 watts. This was upgraded to 10KW in its final years. Energy was co-sited with four other low power stations, MAGIC 105.1 ( A satellite station operated Oldies from 70/80s, allowing live programming from anywhere. Thunder 107.7 (A Country Music and later Alien Talk Show station featuring Sweeps Fox (of Irishufology.net) as CHOICE FM). A fourth station Galaxy was run via Satellite from Ipswich, England.

Test Transmissions

Energy 106 began in 1997 as a weekend-only station broadcasting to Belfast from Black Mountain. When Belfast's Belfast Community Radio became Belfast CityBeat, Lawrence John was ignored in the programme line up, and so dramatically resigned on air, in front of GMTV (ITV London Network breakfast TV) cameras, and was taken out of the station escorted by police. This was featured on the front page of the Irish News, and he announced that KISS FM (A Monaghan based Million Watt FM Superpirate from the late 1980s, which gave Belfast its first 24hr popular music radio on FM) was coming back on air.
Soon after that LJ was Abducted for the first time, and the name was changed to Energy, as he experienced an intense energy prior to his first abduction, at St Patrick's Chair and Well. The UK authorities raided the station in May after only a few months of broadcasts. The station then moved across the border to Monaghan. Energy was back on air with tests on a makeshift 150ft mast by July that year, running an ERP of 80KW. Work continued over the winter months and a permanent 160ft aerial tower was in place by March 1998. Test transmissions recommenced in May but the signal was not reaching Belfast. It was blasting Dundalk and Lough Neagh! Later that month, the station moved to 105.8 MHz in an attempt to correct a bad SWR reading at 106.6 MHz. This was due to a miscalculation by the contractor who built the high power phasing array. This was removed, modified, as were all 16 high power Yagii which led to more adjustments and time off air, but Energy 106.6 finally launched at 6.30pm on 4th July 1998 with a tape playing music, advertisements and promos.

I believe Energy is transmitting again as when I woke up earlier this morning I heard dance music being played. I investigated to find it was a painter's radio. On my way back into the house i heard reference to an "energy store"

If anyone has any information on what frequency you may be able to pick up energy please add it.

Station Format

Energy was a dance music station. It was very popular among teenagers. The station was widely criticized for being too repetitive as the output was typically a 6 hour recording played in a loop. There were never any live broadcasts.

Alien Abduction

Lawrence John went missing for several days at the broadcast site Bragan mountain in Monaghan. His car was found with the engine left running. After a formal search and rescue the army eventually found Lawrence in a "Fairy field" near the transmitter site. Lawrence claims he was abducted by EBE's (Extraterrestrial Biological Entity's). It was after this event that the broadcast site became known as Alien Mountain.
Only after the station finally shut down in Feb 2005, did LJ discuss his Abductions with Miles Johnston, for the famous Irish ERA of Pirate Radio. (A documentary history on video, on the Irish stations, which Miles started in 1979). He was abducted four times, and simply entered a different dimension, or portal, at the St Patrick's Chair ancient stone site, near by. The beings he met where small Greys, clothed in cloaks. They programmed him to run the station as he did. He was visited by British Intelligence, who investigated the whole affair, and had the station monitored, with "volunteer" helpers, who themselves had Abduction experiences. One of the station investor's mother had first encounters with EBEs while at school in Lurgan in the early 1960s.
During the final year, a major UFO was recorded to almost land and fire energy beams into the ground at a picnic site across the boarder, in the near by forest, within site of the station's tower.
Energy 106 was a continuation of the KISS FM 103.7/AM 1008 station that aired from the same site in 1987 through 89. As with that station, a subcoded thought code was used to counter the effect of the Greys and the other devices (Black intelligent energy, or non photonic life forms).
The EBE and / Intelligence/ Black Energy activity was all entirely expected, when the station was brought back on air as Energy. The Abductions, and the fact the station was kept on air (We were informed directly we would simply NOT be Raided), that is to say specifically NOT raided for so many years, was also fully expected and dealt with. It was only when the main programming effect run by the Greys/Via LJ was fully broken, (LJs final and fourth abduction is only remembered by terror and fear) and LJs mind programming was broken, that the final year of the station resulted in so many attacks by the so called authorities.
Earlier it was during the KISS station's existence that a subcoded programme, known as "Intelligence Transfer Sequencing" (or ITS) was used to de-programme the very old post Atlantean era reality management structures, (known as R-M-S) which initiated what was to co-generate what was to become the Ulster Peace process. (in mid 1988).
