Emmanuel Sanou (1980~) is a dancer and choreographer from Bobo Dioulasso, Burkina faso. Major Performance records Emmanuel Sanou is a dancer and a choreographer from a west african country, Burkina Faso. He worked with renowned artists like Germaine Acogny and Salia Sanou and has won the national art competition in Burkina Faso for several times. He performed at the first opera of African continent, 'Opera du Sahel' as a dancer. Since 2006, he taught traditional dances of west african mandeng cultures, in Mali, France, Italia, Portugal, Monaco and many other African and European countries. In 2012, he came to Korea to work as a resident artist at African Art museum in Pocheon. Currently, he is dedicating himself in showing and educating his art and culture in Korean as a member of Koule Kan, with a musician Amidou Diabate. Competition Award records he got 1st prize in SNC (National Culture Week of Burkina Faso, Semaine Nationale de la Culture) in Burkina Faso, 2002. And, he achieved 2nd prize for group performance in SNC 2004. Finally in 2006, he ranked 2nd prize for the solo creation in SNC 2006.
