Emily Elizabeth Kieliszewski (born July 22, 1992) is an American beauty pageant titleholder from Alpena, Michigan, who was crowned Miss Michigan 2015. She competed for the Miss America 2016 title in September 2015. Pageant career Vying for Miss Michigan In April 2009, Kieliszewski was named Miss Sunrise Side 2009.<ref name="alpn090420"/><ref name="alpn100414"/> She won $2,500 in cash plus a one-year scholarship to Alpena Community College.<ref name="alpn090420"/> She competed in the 2010 Miss Michigan pageant with the platform "Influencing Children Toward a Healthy and Productive Life" and a ball acrobatics performance to "Entry of the Gladiators" by in the talent portion of the competition.<ref name="msam2010"/><ref name="alpn100612"/><ref name="alpn150707"/> She was not a Top-10 semi-finalist for the state title and earned a $500 non-finalist scholarship award.<ref name="msmi10wi"/> Kieliszewski competed in the 2011 Miss Michigan pageant as Miss Tip of the Mitt 2011 with the platform "D.A.R.E. Maviglia.<ref name="mliv150621a"/> Miss Michigan 2015 On July 12, 2014, Kieliszewski was crowned Miss Stateline 2015 making her eligible for a sixth attempt at the state title.<ref name="mliv150621b"/><ref name="wbkb150705"/><ref name="earg150626"/> She entered the Miss Michigan pageant at Frauenthal Center for the Performing Arts in June 2015 as one of 34 qualifiers.<ref name="earg150626"/><ref name="mliv150620"/> Kieliszewski's competition talent was tap dancing to "U Can't Touch This" by MC Hammer.<ref name="mliv150621b"/><ref name="alpn150623"/> Her platform is "Adopting America's Children", a campaign to raise awareness of children seeking permanent families.<ref name="mliv150621a"/> Kieliszewski won the competition on Saturday, June 20, 2015, when she received her crown from outgoing Miss Michigan titleholder K. T. Maviglia.<ref name="mliv150621b"/><ref name="mliv150618"/> She earned more than $12,000 in scholarship money and other prizes from the state pageant.<ref name="mliv150620"/><ref name="wwmt150622"/> As Miss Michigan, her activities include public appearances across the state of Michigan.<ref name="alpn150707"/><ref name="mliv150621b"/> Vying for Miss America 2016 Kieliszewski was Michigan's representative at the Miss America 2016 pageant in Atlantic City, New Jersey, in September 2015.<ref name="wwmt150622"/><ref name="msam2015"/><ref name="msmi15wi"/> In the televised finale on September 13, 2015, she placed outside the Top 15 semi-finalists and was eliminated from competition.
