Emanuele Minotti was a Senior Managing Director at Tisbury, responsible for Equity analysis, European Event Driven Trading and Global Financials. He joined Tisbury from Citadel where he has been Portfolio Manager and Director of the European Event Driven. Previously, Emanuele has been Senior Equity Analyst for European Banks at UBS Warburg, Senior Vice President in Merrill Lynch’s FIG group in London and a Director in Salomon Smith Barney’s European equity research department covering European banks. Emanuele Minotti started to focus on financial institutions in 1996 in Salomon Brothers after completing an MBA at Bocconi University in Milan in 1995. He also has a degree in Chemistry from the University of Milan and a Diploma in Chemical Engineering. He worked for the Promox Group and Montedison Group in the 80s. In early 90s Emanuele was involved in the restructuring of operations at Pirelli SpA and in the reorganization of the company’s finance department. He is a member of the Advisory Board of the Italian Banking Association. In 2001 Emanuele’s team was ranked 1st in European banks research by both fund managers and finance directors in the Reuters/Institutional Investors survey. Emanuele has consistently awarded the Institutional Investor’s “The Best of Buy Side” award every year since 2004. In 2006 Emanuele was awarded the Thomson Extel Excellence in Asset Management awards (General Equities). In 2010 Emanuele’s was ranked 1st in European banks research and 1st in European Insurance research by brokers in the Thomson Reuters/Extel survey. Emanuele again was awarded the Thomson Extel Excellence in Asset Management award (General Equities and Equity Strategy) in 2010.
