Ellamman Temple, Triplicane, Chennai is a 550-year-old powerful temple located at Sundaramurthy Vinayagar Koil Street on one side and Triplicane High Road on the other. Located very close to the Ice House Mosque and Venkateshwara Hostel for Men. The temple Arch can be see from the high road. The nearest railway station is Triplicane Railway station and bus routes are plenty to reach this shrine. The main deity, Ellamman (Not Ellaiamman as commonly mispronounced) is a deity of Amman(Parvathi, wife of Shiva). The temple also has other deity which includes Kasi Vishwanathar, Vinayakar, Murugan, Dhakshinamoorthy, Natarajar, Anjaneyar and Navagraham. This is a very popular temple in Triplicane and considered a very powerful deity who grants all your wishes and provides peace of mind. |
