Elizabeth Terzakis is an American educator, writer and political activist. She received a Bachelor of Arts from Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut, a Master of Arts in Creative Writing from Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia and a Master of Arts in English from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. She is currently a professor of English and reading at Canada College in San Mateo County, California. Terzakis is a frequent contributor to the International Socialist Review. She contributed to the book "'Education and Capitalism, Struggles for Learning and Liberation" (Haymarket Books 2009 edited by Jeff Bale and Sarah Knopp) She has also served as an editor of "Fourteen Hills", a review published twice yearly by the SFSU creative writing department. and for the book "Welcome to the Terrordome: The Pain, Politics, and Promise of Sports" (Haymarket Books 2007) by Dave Zirin. In 2009 her remarks along with ones by Zirin were the focus of the Public Radio Exchange audio piece "Women in Sports: Separate & Not Equal".
