Elizabeth Quarshie

Elizabeth Quarshie is a civil servant of the province of Saskatchewan and has been appointed as the Deputy Minister of Environment, Planning & Risk Analysis Division
Environment & Forests Division by the Saskatchewan government. Early employment in the late seventies involved working with Hardy Associates, leaving two children with her husband to pursue graduate school in Washington. She is currently a Member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan and a Certified Professional Environmental Auditor. Previous experience as Director of Compliance, Audit and Evaluation for Cogema Resources.

The National Energy Board gave advise to the federal Government of Canada Minister of Natural Resources (NRCan). Elizabeth Quarshie was appointed September 27, 1999 as a member of the National Energy Board for a seven-year term. Saskatchewan residents remember her appearance before the Federal / Provincial Joint Hearing on the development and expansion of the Uranium mining at Dominique Janine in Northern Saskatchewan.
