Trefor Luke Munn-Venn Trefor Munn-Venn is currently the Founder & CEO of Social Catalyst Inc. (2010-present) based in Ottawa, Canada. In 2010, he became a recipient of a Webby Award for his involvement in the "Renew the World" campaign. Prior to this, he served as a Research Director at The Conference Board of Canada. There he published on issues related to innovation in Canada. He also established the Conference Board's program in National Security and Public Safety and became its inaugural Director. (See Publications below.) In this capacity, Trefor Munn-Venn has presented his research on the role of public-private partnerships to improve national security and public safety to major international organizations including: * The G8 in Moscow, Russia in 2006 at the "Global Forum for Partnerships Between States and Businesses to Counter Terrorism" * The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe in Vienna, Austria in 2007 at the "OSCE Political Public-Private Partnership Conference" * The meeting held by Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) in Lima, Peru in 2008 focused on "Countering Terror and Securing Trade - Emerging Practices for Public-Private Partnerships" Trefor is an Associate Member of both the International Association of Chiefs of Police and the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police.
