Eliza Orlins

Eliza Orlins (b. December 25, 1982 in New York, New York) was a contestant on Survivor: Vanuatu and Survivor: Micronesia. She completed her Bachelor's degree at Syracuse University in 2005, majoring in International Relations and Political Science. After that, she began attending law school at Fordham University, where she expects to earn a J.D. in December 2008.

Survivor: Vanuatu

Orlins competed in Survivor: Vanuatu in 2004. She was part of the all-female Yasur tribe. At the tribe's first vote, Eliza was the target of the 4 older women's alliance. To ensure her own safety, she joined with that alliance to eliminate her own ally Dolly. Orlins would be a frequent target throughout the season as she bounced between alliances. Ultimately, she was voted out at the final four. As a jury member, she awarded her vote to Chris Daugherty, who went on to win the money.

Survivor: Micronesia

In 2008, Orlins returned for a Fans V. Favorites edition of Survivor filmed in Palau. Orlins aligned with Jonathan Penner, Yau-Man Chan, and fellow-Vanuatu contestant Ami Cusack. This alliance fell out of favor with the rest of the favorites, and Orlins quickly found her head on the chopping block. A tribal swap found Orlins on a new tribe with four fans and four favorites. This new tribe was undefeated in immunity challenges, and Orlins' fate was delayed. After the merge, Orlins was shocked to find that her last ally, Ami Cusack, had been eliminated at the previous tribal council. Without allies, Orlins tried everything to stay, including playing a fake immunity idol. She was eliminated in an 8-2 vote. As a jury member, she awarded her vote to Parvati Shallow, who went on to win the money. At the Rites of Passage in the final episode, Shallow commented that Orlins was her "arch rival" and that she "went out in a blaze of glory."
