Eccentric Pendulum

Eccentric Pendulum is an Indian progressive metal band formed in November, 2008. They have released one one EPand are releasing an album shortly.
Early Years
Eccentric Pendulum was formed towards the end of 2008 in Bangalore, India by Vibhas, Arun, Ashish and Nikhil. The band composes songs combining elements from jazz, fusion and ambient. In March 2009, Eccentric Pendulum released their debut EP titled “The Sculptor of Negative Emotions”. This EP saw buyers across the Indian Subcontinent and some parts of Europe and America. The artwork has been done by Alex Eckman Lawn (also featured on bands like Arsis, Terminal Function and Hacride).
In August 2009, Faheem joined in the band as their lead guitarist. Lyrical theme of this band is on Light, Beauty, Emotions and Absurdness.
Winding the Optics
In December ,2009 Eccentric Pendulum played at Deccan Rock Festival alongside international metal heavyweights such as Textures and Amon Amarth. They also opened concert for Meshuggah in India. Bassist of the band Arun said: “I sincerely hope the metal culture and trend spreads fast in India and more people convert themselves from Bollywood/ Backstreet Boys to metal (Just like I did!) ”. After a nationwide competition and a grand finale in Bangalore Eccentric Pendulum come out victorious and get ticket to go Germany to play at Wacken Open Air. Their debut full length album Winding the Optics is to be released in early 2011.
