Jenny Weisgerber

Jenny Weisgerber is a female singer-songwriter from Berlin, Germany.

She started her musical path at the age of four with a classical education in guitar and piano.
As a teenager she became more interested in Punk music, while also listening to her parents' record collection, from Van Morrison to Neil Young and Bob Dylan.

After a trip through the USA with just her guitar and a suitcase, she began writing her own songs in English language. Back in Berlin she made herself known at various "open-mike" sessions, followed by her own concerts.

Her early solo live performances won her first prize in the Emergenza Acoustic competition of Germany and Austria and the Berlin Jugendkultur Festival.

During the recordings of Jenny Weisgerber's debut album in 2005, her current band was formed and soon began to accompany her in concert. The band contains Dirk Homuth on guitar, Marc Haussmann on Piano, Colin Bass on Bass and Vocals & Leonardo von Papp on Drums.

Produced by Colin Bass, her first album got promising reviews.
In 2007 the Berlin Senate sponsored the recording of Jenny Weisgerber's second album which is currently in its finishing stages and will be released in 2008
