Dylan Martin (born 21 April 1975 in Tyler, Texas) is a poet and published author. He began writing his senior year of high school at Arp ISD in Arp, Texas. Graduating in 1993 he attended the University of North Texas for 2 years. Deciding that college was not for him, he did not return and instead joined the United States Air Force in June 1997. He served until 2005; serving a tour of duty in Kirkuk, Iraq and Bagram, Afghanistan. He separated from the USAF in 2005 and took a job with KBR in Afghanistan. He has published two books and is currently putting together an anthology of his celebrated short stories. His first collection of poetry is titled Daydreams and Nightmares A second book has recently been published titled Fragments of being. He currently lives and works in a remote region of Afghanistan for Lockheed Martin and is contracted through 2011.
