DVD Talk is a website for DVD enthusiasts founded in January 1999 by Geoffrey Kleinman when DVDs and DVD players were first beginning to hit the market. The site started as an online forum, an email newsletter, and a page of DVD news and reviews. As it grew, it expanded to include a review database as well as regular columns including Glenn Erickson's The DVD Savant and Anime Talk. The site has over 50 writers and contributors who write reviews, interviews, features, and columns; its database holds over 14,000 reviews for Region 1 DVDs. In September 2007, the site was sold to Internet Brands. The adult section of the website was spun off and became XCritic. |
