Dumisani dube

Dumisani Dube born 19 September 1987, is a lawyer from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. He serves in private practice at Cheda & Partners, a law firm founded by Maphios Cheda. He holds a Bachelor of Law Degree (LLB) he completed at the University of Zimbabwe between 2007 and 2012. He is a fellow of the German foundation, Youth Leadership Programme for young leaders in Zimbabwe. He sits on several boards including the National Association of Non Governmental Organisations (NANGO), which is the country’s mother body for all civil society organisations.
Early life
He went to Intunta Primary School (1994 - 2000), Gifford High (2001 - 2004) and Mpopoma High (2005 - 2006) schools all in Bulawayo. He is an alderman of the Bulawayo Junior City Council where he served as town clerk between 2005 and 2006. He then went to the University of Zimbabwe in Harare from 2007 - 2012 and studied law where he was lectured by Professor Geof Feltoe and Professor Lovemore Madhuku. He is one of the country’s young leaders selected by the German foundation, Fredrich Ebert Stiftung’s for its Youth Leadership Programme in 2011.
Professional life
He joined legal firm, Cheda & Partners founded by former High Court Judge,Justice Maphios Cheda in 2010. He has represented the firm on a number of high profile cases including Zimbabwe opposition part Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) members of parliament in the battle for former Zimbabwean prime minister Morgan Tsvangirai's face.
