Dulwich paragon

The Dulwich Paragon cycling club is based in Dulwich in London, this historical club has ties with Herne Hill Velodrome and is responsible for organising the "Ride of the falling leaves" through Kent, Surrey and London.

The club runs regular social and training rides, with routes and speeds appropriate for all levels of cyclist.

Social Rides

The club runs a 2 hour social ride every Saturday morning from Crystal Palace in London. The ride is a fixed route at a social, conversational pace with the policy is that nobody is left behind.

Intermediate Rides

The Sunday morning ride provides intermediate and fitter riders a chance for an extended ride exploring the Southeast of London and Kent. Rides from three to six hours are typical and routes tend to be chosen on the morning. In some cases a faster and slower group will set out, or form spontaneously after a few miles.

In summer, a Wednesday evening intermediate chaingang ride is held, at a pace between the Sunday ride and the Tuesday and Thursday chaingangs.

Advanced Rides

The Tuesday and Thursday evening chaingang rides, which attract active racing cyclists from several Southeast London clubs, provide a challenging workout for even the fittest cyclist. One regular has likened the ride to a wild beast, and newcomers to the ride may find that they make several attempts before finishing with the group.
