DualBackup is a file backup software and an online backup tool created by Agistar Technologies of Singapore. The DualBackup software allows users to back up their data to portable hard disk and off-site servers.
The DualBackup backup software is free. Users can back up files to portable hard disk and mapped network drive. Users can also enable online backup by creating an online backup account.
DualBackup released a remote backup service for home users and businesses. DualBackup home plan allows backups from up to five computers. DualBackup business plan allows administrators to manage backups from up to 2,500 computers.
DualBackup has a file explorer for users to add and remove files from the backup set. DualBackup also allows experienced users to set advanced backup rules. DualBackup keeps multiple versions of files in local storage and remote storage. Users can use the SimpleDiff tool to compare the differences between versions. SimpleDiff is a visual text comparison tool.

DualBackup allows users to back up their files locally to portable hard disk and remotely to off-site servers. The DualBackup software can be used free of charge for local backup. DualBackup compresses and encrypts each file with 256-bit AES before storing the file in local backup storage and off-site servers. SSL is used to transmit data to off-site servers over the Internet.
DualBackup automatically starts backup daily or weekly according the schedule set by user. In the initial backup, DualBackup backs up all the files in backup set. In subsequent backups, only new and changed files are backed up. DualBackup performs block level incremental backup for large files.
