Drew Blake (pseudonym) - Author The author who writes under the name of Drew Blake was born in Blackshear, Georgia and grew up in the neighboring town of Patterson. He graduated from Pierce County High School in 1982 and joined the US Air Force where he served his first term of service in Strategic Air Command's 533rd Strategic Missile Squadron. As the Cold War drew to a close the Titan II ICBMs were decommissioned and Drew extended for a second tour as a gunner on a B-52G attached to the 596 Bomb Squadron. He was honorably discharged from the USAF in 1988 the year after he received the Academic Achievement Award for 8th AF NCO Leadership School. Returning to South Georgia, Drew enrolled at Valdosta State University where six years later he graduated with two Bachelors of Science degrees majoring in Physics and Astronomy. It was during this time that he wrote his first manuscript which was titled The Oracle and the Well, a fantasy novel which was test published by Northwest Publishing in Salt Lake City, UT. The publishing run was short as NPI ultimately went out of business before the novel entered into distribution. Drew Blake began working for First Data Corporation in 1995 as a project manager over the deployment and recovery of banking equipment for the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta. In late 1996, he accepted a full time engineering position with TWS International and began a period of 6 years working on the road. It was at this time that he began to write on a regular basis. Drew Blake presently resides in Blue Ridge, GA with his wife (married in 2007) and son (born in 2010). He has two novels still in publication, Engineer's Spell and Lastday.
