Dr. Steve Phillips EngD MSc BSc MRICS MCIOB MCIArb PGCert (born 3 December 1960) was born in London and attended Dartford Grammar School (1972-79). Dr Phillips is a Chartered Surveyor and Chartered Builder and obtained a Doctorate of Engineering from the Centre for Innovative and Collaborative Engineering (CICE) which is a world-renowned Centre for Excellence at Loughborough University. He was the co-winner of the CIOB FAS International Research and Innovation Prize in 2007 for inventing and developing a computer software known as OVID-BV. During 2001-2003 Dr. Phillips sat on the UK Government Working Party for Leasehold Reform that assisted in drafting The Service Charges (Consultation Requirements) (England) Regulations 2003. He is currently a Director of a Chartered Surveying Practice, Asset Management Surveyors Ltd, and is also an independent board director of the ALMO, Newham Homes.
