Kin Yang-Song (c.February 24-28, 1854 - March 16, 1936) was a man who lead a small communist group called the Chosen Force. These were the original communists in Korea, who came about in the early 1920s in the South Korean city of Daegu. He was also seen as a cult leader who victimised his followers. He and his followers were caught conspiring to burn down Japanese governmental buildings in 1918. Although 70 of his followers were caught and put to death, he and 15-40 followers escaped north. They were greeted by the Chinese, who did not have particularly good relations with Japan, yet they proceeded to go further north, finally reaching the Soviet Union in 1936. He was assassinated in Chelyabinsk by his followers after they found papers stating that he would give the followers to the Soviets as slaves if they were offering a good price. A notable member of the Chosen Force, Ken Kim, succeeded his role and became a prodigious leader after the coup d'etat. He lead the revolt against the Chinese and the Japanese, and successfully blockaded both countries for a temporary moment. He eventually went into hiding and became isolated from society after the Japanese executed all his followers.
