Donnie Hogan

Donald Ray Hogan AKA Donnie Hogan was born on July 5, 1973. Donnie Hogan is the brother of Anna Nicole Smith. They have the same father, Donald Eugene Hogan. Hogan made several media appearances after the overdose of his famous sister. The most notable media appearance was the Montel Williams Show when Hogan debated the cause of his sister's death. He released later that he was diagnosed with the autoimmune disease Ankylosing Spondylitis.

Hogan is a strong advocate for the disease Ankylosing Spondylitis and Medical Marijuana. His volunteer work includes advocating for the Spondylitis Association of America, The Chalk where you Walk Ankylosing Spondylitis Awareness Project and is currently filming the Disabled in America documentary project highlighting the discrimination of disabled American citizens.
Hogan became a voice and advocate for the legalization of marijuana. In 2008 Hogan was diagnosed with the disease Ankylosing spondylitis a chronic autoimmune disease. Hogan's diagnosis was also deemed systematic meaning it affects the whole body including the liver, heart, and brain. Hogan released in his book that he now takes the same medication, Methadone Methadone, that his sister took during her overdose which caused her death. Hogan also uses medical marijuana to help control his chronic pain and treat other side effects of the disease like seizures from low potassium. Hogan became a caregiver for other patients in Michigan. He opened the Mid-Michigan Caregivers Club to provide caregivers a safe place to meet patients. On June 14, 2012, Donnie Hogan and his wife was arrested for the sales of marijuana. It was part of a series of raids on medical marijuana dispensaries. What followed was a series of rallies and protests. Hogan's case was dismissed after it was revealed that a witness had given false information. The case was followed by several media outlets making Hogan the center of the medical marijuana fight in Michigan.
He married his long-time girlfriend Billie Hogan, best known under her pen name Micki Hogan. Micki Hogan is a published author and freelance journalist. The couple had been together 20 years when they married on February 28, 2012. They have twins boys, Donnie Ray Hogan and Danny Ray Hogan. One of the twins was named after their father, Donnie Hogan and the other twin, Danny Ray Hogan was named after Anna Nicole's son Daniel Wayne Smith. Hogan and his nephew Daniel grew close during the Playmate years of Anna Nicole Smith.
