Donald Palumbo

Donald E. Palumbo (born 1949) is Professor of English at East Carolina University.
In 2002, Palumbo published a book which reviews the narrative structures in the science fiction writings of Isaac Asimov and Frank Herbert and draws comparisons with the scientific concepts of chaos theory and fractals.
Dr. Palumbo has published over seventy scholarly articles, three edited
books, one authored book, and over twenty volumes as advisor to Greenwood
Press' Contributions to the Study of Science Fiction and Fantasy series.
He is currently writing a book on the monomyth in American science fiction.
