Dominic Peckham

Dominic Peckham is a British choral conductor, musical director and tenor. He was born on Thursday 5th May 1983 in Southampton, England.
Conducting and Musical Direction
Dominic is Assistant Musical Director of National Youth Choirs of Great Britain, Director of The Ulster Youth Training Choir, Artistic Director of The Royal Opera House Thurrock Youth Chorus ‘RM19′, Patron of The Voice Festival UK and Artistic Director and Founder of iSingUK, a workshop tour for UK schools.
He has previously conducted The Trinity Guildhall Open University CPD Programme, directed workshops for the BBC Choir of the Year competition and Music for Youth. Previous conducting posts include Musical Director of The Edinburgh Singers, The Merchant Voices, Edinburgh Youth Choir, Chorusmaster and Associate Conductor of 2×2 Opera, Director of the CBSO Youth Chorus, Guest Musical Director of The National Youth Training Choir of Scotland and Assistant Chorusmaster for The Royal Scottish National Orchestra.
Notable conducting credits include the world premiere of Oliver Searle’s Pride, Poverty and Pianos for the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, Handel’s Israel in Egypt, Haydn’s Creation, and Beethoven’s Mass in C for The Edinburgh Singers and Orchestra, Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas for the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra Ensemble, The National Police Federation Memorial Service for The British Federation of Youth Orchestras and Chorusmaster for ‘The Voice’ at the BBC Proms.
Dominic has also worked as a chorusmaster with Stephane Deneve, Richard Hickox OBE, Bernard Labadie, Simon Halsey, Christopher Bell, Vassily Sinaisky, Sir David Willcocks, Lorin Maazel, Stefan Bevier and John Rutter CBE.
Operatic Performance
Dominic is currently a Tenor in the Chorus of the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden. His Royal Opera solo debut was as “Dominic Gent’ in the world premiere of Mark-Anthony Turnage’s Anna Nicole under Sir Antonio Pappano.
