"Doing All Right" (sometimes written "Doin' Alright") is a song by the British rock band Smile. Written by Tim Staffell and Brian May. The song was re-recorded by Queen on their 1973 debut album Queen. It was released as B-Side with "Liar" as the single. It was recorded at Trident Studios in London in 1972 and released in the United States in February 1974 as the B-Side of the single, with "Liar" as the A-Side. "Doing All Right" is included as the third song in the soundtrack of the 2018 film Bohemian Rhapsody. Background "Doing All Right" was written by Brian May and Tim Staffell. It was originally recorded in June 1969 at Trident Studios by the British rock band Smile. Two more tracks were recorded, "Earth" and "Step on Me". When Staffell left in 1970 to join another band, Humpy Bong, Smile effectively disbanded. Bulsara persuaded May and Taylor to continue, and at about the same time, changing his surname from Bulsara to Mercury, joined the band as lead vocalist, from which emerged "Queen".
