Dineout

Dineout is an online table reservation platform and restaurant technology company based in India. Through its website and app, Dineout allows users to pre-book a table and get discounts on restaurant bills in over 20 cities in the country.
As of April 2019, Dineout had nearly 2.5 million registered users.
Dineout is also the organizer of the Great Indian Food Festival, held annually. In August 2019, the company seated 4 million customers in restaurants across India.
History
In April 2014, Dineout was acquired by Times Internet Limited, a part of the Times Group.
In January 2016, the company announced its partnership with large restaurant chains India such as Barbeque Nation, JSM Group, Lite Bite Foods along with TGI Fridays and Chili’s.
In October 2019, Dineout partnered with Google by adding features to the Google Maps navigation engine.
Products and Services
Great Indian Restaurant Festival (GIRF): The GIRF is an annual food festival, organized by Dineout. The festival offers users discounts and cashbacks on their F&B bills at almost 10000 partner restaurants across 20 Indian cities. The last edition was held between January 31 and March 1.
Contactless Dining: In April 2020, Dineout launched contactless dining for its restaurant partners. Contactless dining is enabled through technologies such as QR code (to scan menus on a mobile phone) and the Dineout App (to order and pay). The company also launched a white paper on how restaurants should be ready to adopt to a new normal in a post-COVID world. The paper was released by the Additional Director General of the , Rupinder Brar.
Restaurant Vouchers: To support restaurants financially during the COVID crisis, Dineout launched restaurant vouchers in April 2020. Customers can buy these vouchers now from the Dineout App and redeem them once the pandemic subsides. Customers will get discounts on their food bill when they redeem while cash-strapped restaurants will benefit from an infusion of funds.
Project Thali
In April 2020, Dineout launched Project Thali, a community-driven initiative, in partnership with the NGO, World Help Group, to provide meals to migrant labourers. Dineout has supplied food through the initiative in over 5000 pin codes in 20 Indian cities.
The initiative invites people to a) donate rations, b) cooked food, c) volunteer or donate by means of guaranteeing food security for a vulnerable family for 15 days for Rs 1400 only.
