Didgebox

The didgebox or didjbox is a modern style of didgeridoo. It was designed as a non-traditional compact and portable version of the didgeridoo, and as such is considered to be a type of travel didgeridoo.
General Characteristics
The didgebox has similar drone sound characteristics to the traditional didgeridoo, and can be played using circular breathing. The didgebox is made in specific keys C,D,& E.
History
The original "Didjbox" was invented by Marko Johnson in 1995. The first production line didgebox was released in 1999. Since then, numerous versions of didgebox have been developed, including the traveler box, obelisk box, didj flute, meditator and mindblower.
Construction and materials
They are made from wood or resin.<ref name=traveldidge/> A block of wood is routed to form channels and then glued back together.
