Dick Palm is weekday morning news anchor and reporter for WAGM-TV in Presque Isle, Maine. Early life Dick was born in Houlton, Maine, and was educated at Houlton High School. He later attended Northern Maine Vocational Technical Institute (now known as NMCC) and took a radio and television course there. Radio career Prior to joining WAGM-TV, Palm worked as a "heard and not seen" local radio personality. He moved to Portland in 1994 and worked 6 years for 3 stations owned by the Portland Radio Group, including a news/talk station. News career Palm moved back to Aroostook County in 2000 and joined WAGM in February 2004, first working as a newscast director for the station's First Edition and Late Edition newscasts. In September of the same year that he joined WAGM, Palm became the anchor of the station's Morning Edition newscasts, later expanding his career by becoming the host of WAGM's famous annual Potato Picker's Special. Personal life Palm lives in Presque Isle, Maine with his wife Cheryl, their son Jonathan and three cats Mike, Spike and Mooch.
