Dianne Martinez
Dianne Martinez is an American politician from Emeryville, California. First elected in 2014 to city council, she has also served two one-year terms as Mayor and is currently a member of city council. Martinez moved to Emeryville in 2010 and sought election in 2014 as a progressive ticket with Scott Donahue.
Martinez is the first Filipino American to serve as a city council member in Emeryville. She is chair of the board of EBCE, East Bay Community Energy, as well as a board member on the Energy Council of StopWaste.
Martinez has been a part of several efforts that brought national attention to the small Bay Area city including increasing the minimum wage in 2015, encouraging densification, and supporting inclusive energy.
