It was built on an improperly capped landfill and is planned to be destroyed so that the landfill can be properly capped.
In 1987 Chandler Field (on Chandler Road, Andover, Massachusetts) was renamed the Deyermond Memorial Field in memory of Warren Charles (Buster) Deyermond. Buster, a member of the Andover High School class of 1966, who died in Vietnam. His name is also listed on the Vietnam Memorial.
