Denis Phillips is a broadcast meteorologist.
He joined the news team at WFTS-TV as a meteorologist in December of 1994. He graduated at Penn State University with a degree in meteorology. He is well-known in the Tampa Bay area due to his trademark suspenders, which he began to wear during the 2004 coverage of Hurricane Charley. He currently is the chief meteorologist on the weekday 5:00 PM, 6:00 PM, and 11:00 PM newscasts at WFTS. Denis is known to be very animated and goes with his gut when it comes to his forecasts.
