Deep Medi Musik is an independent London-based record label run by the artist Mala who is one half of the dubstep recording duo known as Digital Mystikz.The label was created in 2006 and released often experimental EPs and LPs that would fuse different elements of other genres to the dubstep template such as Jazz and hip hop. Deep Medi has pushed experimental dubstep throughout its history and thus encompasses a wide range of styles under one label, something that is mentioned in the documentary 'Bassweight' that looked at the early dubstep scene. The record label are known to use drawings of the artists who have created the music called 'Deep Medi Heads' on the vinyl centre label and these are illustrated by the artist and musician Tunnidge. They have released various short play and long play records by several notable artists such as Skream, Loefah, Goth Trad, Distance, James Blake, Mark Pritchard, Kromestar, Kahn, Truth, JME and Pinch.
