Dawood Pervez is a British businessman and managing director of Bestway Group, one of the largest multinational corporations in the UK. Early life He was born into a business-oriented family, the son of Sir Anwar Pervez, who founded Bestway after emigrating from Pakistan to the UK in 1956. Pervez was educated at Eton College and later attended Oxford University, where he completed his degree. He trained as a lawyer at Linklaters before joining the family business' legal department. Career He has held various roles within Bestway since joining the company in 2002, after qualifying as a lawyer. Initially, he established the company's export division and advanced its digital capabilities. His responsibilities extended to overseeing multiple departments, including the company's trading department, which was recognised as the Head Office Department of the Year in 2018. He was appointed chairman of the Federation of Wholesale Distributors (FWD) in January 2022. He succeeded Coral Rose, becoming the 61st person to lead the trade association in its 104-year history. As chairman of the Federation of Wholesale Distributors, he advocates for the UK's wholesale sector.<ref name="Times23"/>
